March good news wrap!

Q4 is drawing to a close and March has been full of momentum across our programmes and partnerships. Here’s a quick look at what we’ve been up to:

✅ We’re thrilled to see Greater Manchester Combined Authority confirmed for additional Department for Science, Innovation and Technology funding to continue the trailblazing 5G Smart Decarbonisation Network (SDN) project. From smarter energy for social housing to a live 5G-powered digital road network, this work is already delivering greener, more connected communities—and we’re proud to have played a part in securing the next phase. Read more here: https://www.ukauthority.com/articles/dsit-extends-5g-innovation-regions-projects/

💬 We also chaired the GM 5GIR Lesson Learnt Workshop, bringing together delivery partners and stakeholders to reflect on the first phase and shape future priorities and delivery models.

💡 In St Helens, working with St Helens Council, we chaired the third Smart Borough Board, further developing the local digital vision and progressing new use cases focused on connectivity, public services, and place-based innovation.

☕️ We joined the St Helens Insider Media Business Breakfast, contributing to discussion around regeneration, investment, and the role of digital in supporting local growth.

🎓 Big thanks to Hayley, who represented us at the Liverpool John Moores University Careers Futures event, delivering CV and interview workshops to support students entering the world of work. It was a brilliant chance to share real-life insights and connect with the next generation of digital, data, and place-making talent.

🗞️ We shared a Spring Statement thought leadership piece, reflecting on the implications for digital infrastructure, regional investment, and place-based growth strategies. 🗺️ And a milestone delivery this month: our GIS-based Highways Flood Risk analysis went live under our West Sussex County Council framework – a brilliant example of our data-led capabilities in action.

👏 We marked International Women’s Day by celebrating the brilliant women in our team and network—sharing reflections, amplifying voices, and championing inclusion across the sectors we work in. A timely reminder that diverse perspectives make stronger places, policies, and partnerships.

Thanks to the whole team and our brilliant clients – here’s to an energised new Financial Year!
